Orthodontics

Full orthodontic treatment-This procedure is done on both adolescents and adults to improve the aesthetic function of all of the patient’s teeth.  It also keeps the jaws in harmony with the joints to prevent joint problems in the future.  With today’s’ advancements in the field, braces are not as visible as in the past.  In some cases orthodontic treatment can be done with removable appliances.

Appliance treatment-Appliances can be used for a variety of reasons.  They can hold spaces to allow for the eruption of permanent teeth, to widen the arch, or for bad habits; such as thumb sucking and tongue thrust.  They are often used in conjunction with full orthodontic treatment to create growth or restrict growth.
